Carbon Reduction Strategy

Carbon Life believes that a best practice approach to Climate Change should incorporate a full Carbon Reduction Strategy, whilst we accept that not every organisation is able to implement a complete strategy immediately, it should always be viewed as the ultimate goal.

A complete Carbon Reduction Strategy includes the following fundamental principles;

  • Focus on its direct emissions, reducing their carbon footprint and creating bottom line savings by implementing technology to induce cost effective energy efficiency measures and, where possible, reduce the carbon burden of its energy usage by developing low-carbon energy sources, examples such as on-site generation and renewable energy facilities
  • A company should also look at opportunities to reduce its indirect emissions, working with other organisations to develop strategies to reduce emissions and cut costs up and down the supply chain looking for new revenue opportunities, for example; new low-carbon products. This action, coupled with the option of developing an offset strategy offset credit purchases from high quality verified projects that create truly additional emissions reductions and or giving facility to your customers/clients with our CLEVER product to take part in the challenge of Climate Change will provide a comprehensive set of 'Green Credentials' for your company.

In our experience of working with companies around the world on emissions reduction implementation and offset strategies, this defined approach delivers bottom line financial and carbon savings for every financial year.

There are a number of business benefits associated with organisations implementing a carbon reduction strategy:-

  • An improved Corporate Social Responsibility position,
  • Improved efficiency reduction in Costs
  • Stronger brand positioning,
  • Offsets as a way to internalise the cost of carbon
  • Anticipate and prepare for existing and pending mandatory legislation.
